got 58 more days til the Sands....our friend has timeshares at all the Royal resorts, so instead of staying at Dos Playas, we're now staying at the Sands for the exact same price woooooo
Thats awesome the beaches where in a bad way last time i was there. That is the same area of beach it was all rocks asoon as you came off the street next to the city nightclub almost. Good job
Where did you go in Hartford? I was out in Hartford last night, and probably again tonight. I live and work in Hartford. Fletch and I went out up here on NYE, it got a little out of hand, haha.
I used to work at KPMG (in the Gold Building, and no, wasn't one of the 10%-20% of people that was axed for poor performance!) so met up with some of my ex-colleagues at Dish to start the Happy Hour, then a few of us went to Black Bear (karaoke Wednesdays, although the place was dead), then Pour House, closing out the night at Up or On the Rocks...with some interesting sites there, to say the least. A few of us are probably heading to Margarita's in East Hartford for a few drinks, followed by a night of mayhem in Hartford later. Not sure exactly where we're going yet, though. With my new job, it is significant travel (including international), so there's certain things that I miss back in this area. When I'm in Hartford, I'm "working from home", but I only need to work if there are outstanding projects, which right now, there aren't for me. So, I've been off since 12/20 and don't start up again until (at earliest) 1/18 - and better yet, it doesn't hit against my PTO bank! One of my first stops upon my return from seven weeks in Munich was their Power Hour (any of the CT people should check this out as it is not very well broadcasted - specials include their filet mignon sandwichs for $5, among others) as well as the Thursday dollar beer night at Pour House... Where do you work in Hartford?
Not that this pertains to me at alllll, but I used to work for Hartford Steam Boiler, before moving down here to Cancun in October. I worked in their Philly office, but made many trips to Hartford. Had some really fun nights out.
