Last year we stayed at the Great Parnassus - nice hotel, decent size rooms, and not a bad AI package - but little kids running around. We would jog to the beach near the Ritz, and the beaches were a lot nicer, so this year am staying at the Golden Parnassus, which is very close to where the nice beaches were last year. Does anyone know how the quality of the beach/into the water is now in that area? Seems like I remember hearing about a recent hurricane which might have done some damage...and while the noon-6am drinking escapades are the important part of the trip, I've always found some time in the ocean upon waking up (and into the noon drinking hours) helps limit the hangover...
Cancun Beach Photos hasnt been updated since november, but around that time the restoration process was coming along quite nicely. I can imagine they are looking in prime shape now!
Awesome - thanks for the website and the update. Another cold day here...can't wait until March comes around!
I took Tori's advice, and headed over to the Living in Cancun page. Looks like the restoration had stalled, but is now back on. Hopefully they do make it to the Oasis - and then I really might have to head back there next year...
I went to Playa Chac Mool (across from Sr. Frogs) today...not much a beach day as we are expierencing some cool weather, but I needed to get out. The Dredgger was far South, and I think as of last week it was around the Omni...which is next to The Oasis. So nooo worries. All should be done by Feb in Canun.
All of this Cancun talk inspired me into an (unwise?) night out in Hartford last night...definitely ready for the nights that aren't cutoff by a foolish 1am closing time...but lucky that "working from home" today allowed for a delayed start...
We were out in Hartford on NYE....but prior to, we sat in front of the computer pregaming looking at videos and pictures from last years epic trip...it definitely set the stage for the night
