Do your friends (or parents!) know?

To all the veterans and newbies alike...do your friends know that you're going to this resort when you tell them you're heading to Mexico?

When we were at Desire Cabo (now Temptations) last year it was hilarious hearing the "cover" stories people had.

We actually had a cover "resort" name that we used to tell people...then on a zip line trip we ended up picking up a couple at that very same resort...we quickly got out and took a bunch of pictures of us in front of the sign, the pool, etc.

Any similar tails of scandal?

 

We usually tell most friends and all family Blue Bay. It sounds pretty innocent. My friends see my facebook albums and know the deal.

We definately do not tell anyone the actual name. Of course, many ask and if I can talk my way around it, I do but if they insist on a name, I either say BBG or Blue Bay. I wish they would have just kept the old name. We had pictures taken with various animals around the pool and purchased some of the pictures. On the picture, they have the Temptations logo on the bottom. We had to bring them home, scan them into computer and crop the name out so we could show the pictures. We need a better "Cover Resort" because my cousin asked the other day and I told her BBG. She said, "oh, I will have to look that one up"...geez!

 

well now, this is a good topic now that it is talked about it here, Lynn and I likely sshould have been like many others, and made up a "cover resort" as well because the comments that we received were " wow, even the music on the website sounds seductive", "Temptation Resort, is that a swingers place", one of Lynn's friends read on her facebook where we were going, and made a comment...slut"..lol, with some humor and jealously I think, because her and her husband just came back before from Mexico, before Xmas on a family vacation, and I am pretty sure she knows our vacation, will be more fun then her's...the comments go on, but they are all the same...Lynn and I didn't really think about it I guess, we really dont care what our friends think, they aren't paying for our trip...hell, even my staff were like WOW Skippy, what up with that, one guy said you will have to show me pictures,but..as the saying goes.... " what happens in Mexico, stays in Mexico..

 

I've been doing the "can't remember the name of ther place" story... lmao.

Problem for us is that my parents are staying at our place to watch the kids... they kind of need the hotel's name and number in case of emergency

 

we had to give it to Lynn's sister in law, in Edmonton as well as her brother is in Afganistan, and Lynn is on emergency contact list if something was to happen

 

Yeah, we go for the "oh, whatever the resort's called, er....!" option too.

And we just say that we'll leave our mobiles on for an hour a day to pick up messages... guess not having kids makes that a more realistic option though!

 

What is there to hide? I tell everyone about it and even invite them to come.

Every time we tell someone temptations its usaully followed by ooooh! We keep our private life private from our family and most friends, so we just started telling everyone we chose TTR because it was kid free and most people stop asking questions there.
